Multi-passionate. I only do things I feel very strongly about.
I am on a mission to transmute a disconnected world, and its disempowering models into a life without trauma. This life includes connecting with your body's innate wisdom, using Gentle Trauma Release© (GTR).
I have lived a very exciting life. Lots of life, lived very deeply. I'm a sponge for learning so I'm always doing something new, exploring and taking things deeper.
At a very young age I decided I was going to be a foreign exchange student. I was, twice! I went to Granada, Nicaragua, and to Madrid, Spain.
I stood on the edge of a volcano and watched the lava.
I gave always tried to follow my highly inquisitive mind and my heart.
I was given a terminal diagnosis and told I wouldn't make it to the end of 2002. We named that Dr, 'Doctor Doom and Gloom.'
I'm a story teller. I've had so many adventures and tell real life stories that have people gasping for air they are laughing so hard!
GTR© is the most powerful and life changing practices I accidently stumbled upon.
I completed a 2-year training program at the Gentle Trauma Release Institute to earn my GTR© certification.
I decided to studying GTR© because I began as a client. I carried many traumas with me for decades from things that occurred in my childhood and beyond.
When I find something that works, something accessible, and to me seemingly miraculous, you know I'm to do what it takes to get it to as many people as I can!
Things are very different now! I feel like a huge weight has lifted which is allowing me to move forward with my dreams of helping others peel away their own layers of trauma.
I have spoken at community events, congregations, Joint Finance Committee Hearings, in State Party meetings, since I was in high school, or earlier.
I'm told I'm inspiring, motivating, and that I definitely have a message.
If you want to hear more about trauma or any of the other topics I passionately speak on, feel free to reach out.
If you have a podcast or follow a podcast dealing with a healing or mystical theme, I'm highly interested!
Decades ago, people started to tell me I have a lot of wisdom. I say, "Knowledge + Experience = Wisdom."
I'm a certified Empowerment Coach from the SWAT Institute.
I also have a special, well trained and developed psychic gift and ability to get to the root, to people's core issues.
This gift often translates into helping define next steps, envision a game plan, group brainstorming, or simply whatever people need in their lives to move them forward.
We work together to create a vision of how to get from where you are to where you want to go.
Absolutely not! The reason talk therapy only has limited results when it comes to long-lasting trauma resolution is this:
Trauma is not anchored in the way we think - many talk therapies aim to change the way we think about what happened to us (reframes, looking at things from a different perspective, changing limiting beliefs etc.).
But trauma is a bodily reaction to what we perceived as an extreme threat that we believed to be inescapable.
Trauma is a BODILY reaction to threat. It’s not in one’s head (i.e. thoughts alone) which is why it’s necessary to resolve and heal trauma through the body.
Ultimately, the body (not the thinking mind) needs to learn through movement and bodily experience that danger and threat are gone now, so it can return to its normal state.
Again, absolutely not. In every single one of the 30+ full 2 hour sessions I conducted in my practicum, clients experienced significant results, in every single session.
GTR is not magic but the results are profoundly magical!
We meet on Zoom. We talk for a bit about which specific traumatic issue or emotion we are going to work on.
We don't go into all of the details so you don't get re-triggered. The details are not required!
I guide you through all the gentle movements and motions you need to do. I do them right along with you. We work together.
We check in every so often (like 10-ish minutes) to see how you are doing and how you feel.
You get Self-care-work to do between sessions so you can begin the habit of caring for and honoring yourself and your body.
Typically you will get personalized 'Self-Care-work' to contribute to your well being practice.
We like to have sessions a week apart, if possible. This gives you time to integrate between sessions.
The best way to do this is to:
First, fill out the Trauma Release Assessment.
Save it to your computer using your last name, [Opalescent Trauma Release Assessment.pdf]
Email it back to me using Reply to any of my emails.
I will send you a booking link to schedule an Intro Zoom call.
Book your Intro call.
We can briefly discuss your trauma to get an idea about how many sessions we should book. This is also a chance to get to know each other a little bit.
NO. There are many aspects of trauma traditional Western medicine does not take into consideration yet. You may experience improvement in areas with symptoms that Drs. don't associate with trauma, yet.
